Week 4 (Mar 20–26) keeps the full spring break calendar with a smaller crowd and better lodging odds. Here's why it's underrated.

Panama City Beach Spring Break 2027 Dates: Every Week Explained
Panama City Beach Spring Break 2027 runs from Saturday, February 27 through Friday, March 26, organized into four Saturday-to-Friday weeks. A possible fifth week (March 27 – April 3) is on the table depending on how school calendars line up. If you only read one thing before you book, read this.
The 2027 week calendar
| Week | Dates | What it’s like |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | Feb 27 – Mar 5 | Quietest. Early-break schools, best lodging prices, fewer events. |
| Week 2 | Mar 6 – Mar 12 | Ramps up fast. Big Florida and Georgia crowds arrive. |
| Week 3 | Mar 13 – Mar 19 | Peak. The most schools, the most events, the fullest beach. |
| Week 4 | Mar 20 – Mar 26 | Still busy, slightly easier to book, strong event calendar. |
Which week is the biggest?
Week 3. Two seasons of PCB Club Card sales data say the same thing: Week 3 passes outsell Week 2 by roughly a third, and Week 2 outsells Week 4 by almost three to one. Week 1 barely registers. That’s not a knock on Week 1; it just means most schools haven’t broken yet.
If your group wants the full, loud, everyone-is-here version of spring break, Week 3 is the answer. If you’d rather have shorter lines and a better shot at the condo you actually want, Week 2 or Week 4 gets you most of the energy at a fraction of the friction.
How the weeks map to schools
Most Florida universities break in the first half of March, which is why Weeks 2 and 3 fill up. Georgia and Alabama schools cluster in the same window. Midwest schools (Indiana, Illinois, Michigan) tend to break a week earlier or later, which is why Week 1 and Week 4 have their own loyal crowds. We keep a running table of school break dates on the Spring Break 2027 hub, and each feeder-state page lists the campuses that matter for that state.
What changes between weeks
- Lodging prices. Weekly condo rates climb through Week 3 and ease in Week 4. Booking early matters more in Weeks 2 and 3 than anywhere else.
- Event calendar. The theme-party lineup (foam, paint, glow, Pardi Gras) runs every week, but headliners and special nights stack up in Weeks 2 through 4.
- Beach density. Week 3 is shoulder-to-shoulder in the club district. Week 1 you can find open sand at noon.
- Rules enforcement. The March beach rules apply every week; enforcement is simply more visible when crowds are bigger. Read the rules post before you go.
A note on the possible Week 5
Some years, enough schools break the last week of March or the first week of April that PCB Club Card runs a fifth week of programming. For 2027 that’s March 27 – April 3, and it’s not confirmed yet. If your school breaks then, don’t panic: there’s still plenty to do and lodging is easier. We’ll update this page and the week guide the moment it’s confirmed.
How to choose
- Check your school’s official break dates (not the group chat’s guess).
- If you have any flexibility, lean toward Week 3 for the biggest scene or Week 2 for the best balance.
- Book lodging first, then your party card. Lodging sells out; party cards don’t.
- Read the week page for your dates so you know the lineup before you arrive.
