Where to stay · PCB spring break 2027
Book in the fall for Weeks 2 and 3, by mid-January for Week 4. Split a condo six to ten ways and lodging is the biggest line of the week but the easiest to cut. Stay within a mile of Hammerhead Fred’s (8752 Thomas Dr) if the nights are the point; Señor Frog’s, Whiskey’s Saloon and The Liq are 5–15 minutes west along Front Beach Road.
No lodging partners are confirmed yet, so this page is the guide, not a booking site: areas and distances, condo, hotel or house, March rules, the group checklist.
The short answer
Where to stay for Panama City Beach spring break 2027
When to book
Week 3 (Mar 13–19) by the end of October. Week 2 (Mar 6–12) by early December. Week 4 (Mar 20–26) by mid-January. Week 1 (Feb 27–Mar 5) has more room, but do not wait past February.
Groups of 8+ and anything walkable to Hammerhead Fred’s go first. Why so early.
What a week costs to split
Lodging is the biggest line of the week and the easiest to cut: your share is the all-in weekly total (rent + cleaning + deposit + parking + resort fee + tax) divided by the people who have actually paid. Going from 4 to 8 people roughly halves it; past 10 it barely moves.
We do not quote rates: get the all-in number from the property. The math.
How far from the parties
The four PCB Club Card venues are spread along 8 miles of beach. Hammerhead Fred’s (8752 Thomas Dr) is east; Señor Frog’s and Whiskey’s Saloon are out west by Pier Park; The Liq is in the middle. Stay within a mile of Fred’s if the nights are the point, or on central Front Beach Road to be 5–10 minutes from everything.
Last updated: October 2026. Distances and drive times below are free-flow estimates from OpenStreetMap routing, checked October 2026; March evenings on Front Beach Road are slower.
Where the parties are
The four PCB Club Card venues
One PCB Club Card covers a week of nightly parties at these four venues. Addresses are from the PCB spring break clubs pages. Card pickup is at the Welcome Center at Hammerhead Fred’s, so east-side groups save a trip on day one.
| Venue | Address | Where that is |
|---|---|---|
| Hammerhead Fred’s | 8752 Thomas Dr | Thomas Drive corridor, east side. Also the card pickup point. |
| The Liq | 10912 Front Beach Rd | Central Front Beach Road, about 2 miles west of Fred’s. |
| Señor Frog’s | 15005 Front Beach Rd | West side, about 1.5 miles east of Pier Park. Wednesday Beach Blast day party. |
| Whiskey’s Saloon | 17190 Front Beach Rd | West end, about 1.5 miles west of Pier Park. |
Fred’s to Frog’s is about 5 miles (10 minutes free-flow); Fred’s to Whiskey’s about 7.5 miles (15 minutes). No single address is walkable to all four, so pick the end you will use most. Which nights are where: the 2027 party schedule.
East to west
Areas, with distance to each venue
Panama City Beach is one long beach. Front Beach Road runs the length of it east to west, and Thomas Drive branches off its east end toward Grand Lagoon and St. Andrews State Park. Listings just say “Panama City Beach”: the difference between the right mile and the wrong one is a rideshare every night. Times are free-flow (OpenStreetMap routing, October 2026); on a Week 2 or 3 night budget up to double, and expect surge pricing after midnight.
East · nightlife first
Thomas Drive, near Fred’s
The stretch of Thomas Drive within a mile of 8752 Thomas Dr. Walk to Hammerhead Fred’s and to card pickup, no rideshare home. First to sell out for Weeks 2 and 3, and property managers here run strict March rules.

Lodging types
Condo, hotel or house: which fits your group
Count the group honestly first. Six or more usually means a condo or a house; five or fewer, a hotel.
Condos
The classic PCB setup: multi-bedroom units in the Gulf-front towers with a kitchen, a living room and a balcony.
- +Per-person cost drops fast as you fill it
- +Kitchen: a day-one grocery run cuts food spend
- +One living room for the whole group
- +Most of the beachfront inventory is condos
- –Strict occupancy counts, enforced in March
- –Security deposits and cleaning fees on top of rent
- –One booker is on the hook for everything
- –Age minimums vary building to building
Hotels
Per-room pricing, a front desk, daily housekeeping. Easier to book late and to split into smaller groups.
- +Flexible if the headcount changes
- +Lower deposit risk per person
- +Still available when condos are gone
- +Clear written policies
- –Expensive for 8+ (four rooms, no shared space)
- –Usually no kitchen
- –Many hotels have their own March rules: age minimums, deposits, no outside guests
Houses and townhomes
Whole-home rentals, mostly a few blocks back from the beach or across the road, through the big platforms or local managers.
- +Most space and privacy for the money
- +Parking for several cars
- +Quieter streets than the towers
- –Rarely on the beach, so a walk or a ride to the sand
- –Neighbors and noise rules: one complaint can end the stay
- –Some owners decline student groups in March outright; the listing should say so
The fine print
Rules many properties apply in March
Rules are set property by property. These are the ones groups run into most in March; confirm each one in writing before anyone pays.
Age to book and to stay
Many properties require the person booking to be 21, and a good share require 25. Some apply the minimum to every guest, not just the booker. If your booker does not qualify, you do not have a room.
Deposits and holds
Many properties require a refundable security deposit, often larger in March than the rest of the year, or a card hold at check-in. Ask what triggers a deduction and how long the refund takes.
Occupancy
“Sleeps 10” is a limit, not a suggestion, and managers count heads in March. Guests who are not on the reservation can get the whole group evicted without a refund.
Spring break policy
Many properties publish a March policy: quiet hours, no parties, wristbands or guest registration, no outside guests after a set hour. Properties that welcome spring break groups say so; silence usually means “we decide at check-in.”
Fees
Cleaning, resort, parking, pet and booking fees plus tax can add a meaningful amount to the nightly rate. Ask for one all-in number before you compare properties.
Check-in ID
The person who booked must usually be present at check-in with a government photo ID and the card used to pay. If they arrive a day after the group, the group waits.
PCB Club Card entry is a separate question (18+ to enter with valid photo ID, 21+ to drink): see the PCB Club Card FAQ. Under 21 and planning the trip: what changes.
The money
What a week costs to split
We publish no rates and no partner prices, because we have none to publish. The method still works for any listing:
- Get the all-in total for your exact dates: rent, cleaning fee, resort fee, parking, tax and the refundable deposit, in one number from the property.
- Divide by paid headcount, not by the number of people who said “I’m in.”
- Decide the split before you book: equal shares, or by bed (private room pays more than the pull-out couch).
- Collect deposits within a week; the balance 30 days out. Agree the bail-out rule in writing in October so it is a non-event in February.
Illustration only, not a quote. If a condo’s all-in weekly total came to $4,000, that is $1,000 each for four people, $500 each for eight, $400 each for ten. The deposit comes back after checkout if the rules were kept, so budget it separately from the spend.
Add the card ($80 Fred’s, $100 Platinum or $200 Ultimate plus taxes and fees, one week each), food, one or two boat days, and the 2 a.m. rideshares. The full budget breakdown · How to split a condo fairly.

Where to book
Booking direct vs through a platform
Both work. Use the one that gives your group the clearer rules and the safer payment, and never pay outside either.
Booking direct (property or local manager)
- You can ask a human about the March policy, group size and ages before paying
- Often fewer service fees, and sometimes rooms a platform does not list
- Ask for the policy, the all-in total and the deposit terms in writing (email counts)
- Pay by card to the business named on the website, not to a person
Booking through a platform
- Payment protection, a cancellation policy you can read, and reviews from past Marches
- Service fees on top; the total appears late in checkout, so compare all-in
- Message the host about student groups and the age minimum before booking: the listing filter does not know your ages
- Keep all messages and payment inside the platform; a host asking to move off-platform is the most common scam pattern
Either way: find the building on a map, match the name on the payment to the name on the listing, and read the red flags. A price far below everything nearby for the same week is a scam or a catch.
Lodging partners: none confirmed yet. We list no properties, rates or availability until a partner is signed, and we will not show sample ones. A partner program with a PCB Club Card discount is planned for 2027; confirmed properties will appear here with their rules and distance to Fred’s. How the planned package would work.

Quick answers
Where-to-stay FAQ
When should I book lodging for Panama City Beach spring break 2027? Book in the fall for Weeks 2 and 3 (Week 3 by the end of October, Week 2 by early December), by mid-January for Week 4, and before February for Week 1. Large condos and anything walkable to Hammerhead Fred’s go first.
How far is Hammerhead Fred’s from Señor Frog’s and Whiskey’s Saloon? About 5 miles to Señor Frog’s (15005 Front Beach Rd) and about 7.5 miles to Whiskey’s Saloon (17190 Front Beach Rd) from Fred’s at 8752 Thomas Dr: 10 to 15 minutes without traffic, longer on a March night. The Liq (10912 Front Beach Rd) is about 2 miles from Fred’s.
Do I need to be 21 or 25 to book a condo in Panama City Beach? It depends on the property. Many properties require the booker to be 21 and a good share require 25, sometimes for every guest. Check the minimum age to book and to stay before you pay; it is the most common reason groups are turned away at check-in.
Condo or hotel for a group of eight? A condo or a house. Eight people fill a three- or four-bedroom unit and the per-person cost drops; a hotel means three or four rooms with no shared living room. Hotels suit pairs and small groups or anyone booking late.
Is it cheaper to book direct or through a platform? Often direct, because platforms add service fees, but a platform gives you payment protection and a written cancellation policy. Compare the all-in totals, and whichever you choose, pay by card to the named business and never by wire or gift card.
Does DoItForBreak have lodging partners or deals? Not yet. No lodging partner is confirmed and we list no properties, rates or availability. A partner program with a PCB Club Card discount is planned for 2027; confirmed properties will be listed on this page when they are signed.
Where do you pick up the PCB Club Card? At the Welcome Center at Hammerhead Fred’s, 8752 Thomas Dr, from Noon to 11 PM starting Saturday, February 27, 2027, with a valid photo ID and your order confirmation. Staying on Thomas Drive makes pickup a walk.
