Last-Minute PCB Spring Break Lodging: What’s Left in February

It’s February and your group finally agreed on a week. Here’s what’s realistically left in Panama City Beach, and how to make the best of it.

What’s gone

The walkable club-district units for Weeks 2 and 3 went in the fall. Large Gulf-front condos for any week are mostly gone. If a listing in the club district for Week 3 looks available and cheap in February, read the red flags before you get excited.

What’s usually still available

• Week 1 and Week 4 units across most zones. Both are good weeks; Week 4 in particular keeps a full event calendar.
• Across-the-road properties a mile or two from the venues.
• Hotel rooms, which are easier to split into smaller groups.
• Cancellation re-lists — groups fall apart in January and February, and units come back. Check our partners weekly; we post re-lists as they happen.
• East end and Pier Park zones.

How to make it work

1. Flex on the week first. Moving from Week 3 to Week 4 opens more doors than any other change.
2. Split the group. Two hotel rooms and a small condo across the road beats one impossible six-bedroom search.
3. Widen the circle. Two miles from the venues is a short rideshare. Getting around explains the options.
4. Be ready to pay immediately. Late availability doesn’t wait for a group vote.
5. Don’t lower your standards on rules. A property that doesn’t allow your group is not a bargain.

What not to do

Don’t book a unit that sleeps six for ten and hope. Don’t wire money to a stranger. Don’t assume you can “figure it out when you get there” — March is not the month for that in PCB.
