Week 4 (Mar 20–26) keeps the full spring break calendar with a smaller crowd and better lodging odds. Here's why it's underrated.

Week 2 vs Week 3 in PCB: How to Pick
If your school gives you a choice, or your group is split, this is the decision that shapes the whole trip. Here’s the honest comparison.
Week 2: March 6 – 12
The build-up week. Crowds arrive fast, the club district is alive every night, and the full theme-party rotation is running. Lodging is tight but not impossible, and you’ll still find room on the beach without a fight.
Best for: groups that want a big scene without peak-week logistics; anyone booking late; people who hate lines.
Week 3: March 13 – 19
Peak. The most schools, the most people, the most events, the fullest beach. Everything is louder, longer, and slightly more expensive. It’s the week people picture when they say “PCB spring break.”
Best for: groups who want the maximum experience and booked early; anyone whose friends from other schools are all coming Week 3.
Head to head
| Week 2 | Week 3 | |
|---|---|---|
| Crowd size | Big | Biggest |
| Lodging availability | Tight | Very tight, book by fall |
| Weekly condo cost | High | Highest |
| Event lineup | Full rotation | Full rotation plus specials |
| Lines and waits | Manageable | Long |
| Beach space | Available | Scarce near the clubs |
| Weather | Slightly cooler | Slightly warmer |
The tiebreakers
- Who else is going? If your wider friend group is Week 3, go Week 3. Spring break is better with people you know.
- Have you booked lodging? If not, Week 2 gives you more options. Check what’s available for both weeks before you decide.
- What’s your tolerance for lines? A party card with entry included takes most of the sting out either week, but Week 3 lines are real.
- Weather. Mid-March runs a few degrees warmer on average. It’s a small edge, not a guarantee. Read the March weather post.
Our take
Week 3 if you can book it now and you want the full experience. Week 2 if you’re booking after January or you’d trade a little intensity for a lot less waiting. Either way, you’re in the right place at the right time.
