Flying into Panama City Beach means ECP. Here's what the airport is like, how to get to the beach, and the mistakes to avoid in peak week.

Where to Eat Cheap in Panama City Beach During Spring Break
Food is the line in the spring break budget that you actually control. Here’s the strategy, tier by tier.
Tier 0: the grocery run
Day one, before anything else. One person drives, everyone chips in. The list: breakfast stuff (eggs, bread, fruit, coffee), snacks, sandwich makings, a case of water, and ingredients for two easy dinners. Publix and Walmart are both on the beach side. This one trip cuts the week’s food spend roughly in half.
Tier 1: the condo kitchen
Breakfast at home every day. Two dinners at home — tacos and pasta are the spring break canon. Costs almost nothing, and the group dinner at the condo is the pre-game anyway.
Tier 2: the cheap-and-fast strip
Front Beach Road is lined with the tier that feeds spring break: tacos, pizza by the slice, wings, sub shops, and late-night windows. Under $15 a head, open late, walkable from the venues. This is your 2 a.m. and your day-party lunch.
Tier 3: the sit-down that’s worth it
One or two per week. Seafood on the water, a real breakfast (our picks), or the group dinner the night before someone’s birthday. Split it evenly, tip well, don’t do it every night.
Free food, sort of
The Club Card includes local business discounts, and some participating restaurants are on the list. Check the card’s partner list for your week.
The rules of cheap eating
- Never buy water at a venue. Bring the bottle, fill it at the condo.
- Eat before the day party. Drinking on an empty stomach is expensive in every sense.
- Keep a “food fund” separate from the “going out fund.” Once they merge, food loses.
- The late-night window is fine. The late-night delivery with surge fees and a 45-minute wait is not.
We don’t list specific restaurants in this post because they change every season; the current partner list and our in-season picks live on the blog during March.
