Condo vs Hotel for PCB Spring Break: Which Is Right for Your Group

The condo-versus-hotel question decides your budget, your logistics, and how much of the week you spend arguing about the bathroom. Here’s how to think about it.

Condos

For: groups of six or more. A multi-bedroom condo with a kitchen, a living room, and a balcony is the classic PCB spring break setup for a reason: the per-person cost drops as you fill it, you can cook, and the living room is your pre-game.

Against: strict guest limits, security deposits, quiet hours, and age minimums that vary by property. Cleaning fees add up. And one person is on the hook for the whole booking — pick that person carefully and collect money early.

Hotels

For: pairs and small groups, anyone booking late, and people who want daily housekeeping and a front desk. Hotels are also more forgiving if your headcount changes.

Against: per-room pricing gets expensive for big groups, no kitchen, and many PCB hotels have their own spring break policies (age minimums, deposits, no outside guests). A group of ten across four rooms loses the “one living room” thing that makes spring break feel like spring break.

Resort-style properties sit in between: condo-style units with kitchens and space, professionally managed, with clear written spring break policies. For groups that want the condo experience without the “which cousin’s Airbnb is this” uncertainty, they are worth a look; compare them on the same age, occupancy and deposit terms.
