Flying into Panama City Beach means ECP. Here's what the airport is like, how to get to the beach, and the mistakes to avoid in peak week.

The Spring Break Breakfast: How to Start Day 2 Right
Day 2 of spring break starts at roughly 11 a.m., in a condo with one working coffee maker and eight people who each want something different. Here’s the morning strategy.
The condo breakfast
Cheapest, fastest, and the one that gets the group moving. Eggs, toast, fruit, coffee, water. Stock it on the day-one grocery run. Someone cooks, everyone else cleans. Rotate.
The sit-down breakfast
Once or twice a week, the group goes out. PCB has the full Florida-beach-town breakfast lineup: diners, pancake houses, waffle places, and beachfront spots with a view. Go before 10 or after 1 to skip the line; between those hours in Week 3 you’ll wait.
What actually helps
- Water first. A full bottle before coffee.
- Salt and carbs. Eggs, potatoes, toast. The classics are classics for a reason.
- Something with electrolytes — coconut water, a sports drink, whatever.
- Sunscreen at the table. You’re going to the beach after this and you’ll forget.
What doesn’t
“Hair of the dog” before noon is how Tuesday becomes the day you lost. The week has a rhythm; breakfast is the reset, not the restart.
The group breakfast plan
- Agree on a wake-up window the night before. “Around 11” works.
- Condo breakfast on activity mornings — you have a boat to catch.
- Sit-down breakfast on the rest day and on the last morning.
- Someone’s job is coffee. Make it the early riser’s.
Specific spots change season to season; our in-season picks post on the blog in March.
