Hammerhead Fred’s Foam Party: The Thursday Tradition Explained

If PCB spring break has one signature night, it’s this one. Hammerhead Fred’s foam party was the single most-attended event on the PCB Club Card calendar in both 2025 and 2026, by a wide margin. Here’s what you’re walking into.

What it is

A nightclub filled, literally, with foam. Machines pump it onto the dance floor until it’s waist-deep or higher, the DJ keeps going, and the room turns into the thing you’ve seen in every spring break video. It runs on the club’s big nights each week of the season, historically anchored on Thursdays.

Where

Hammerhead Fred’s, the main superclub in the PCB club district. If you’re staying anywhere near Front Beach Road’s central stretch, you can walk. If not, rideshare there and plan your ride home before the 2 a.m. rush.

What to wear

• Clothes you’re fine getting soaked. Foam is mostly water and soap; it’s not paint, but it’s not dry either.
• Shoes that can get wet and that you can dance in. Flip-flops fail.
• Nothing in your pockets you can’t afford to get wet. Put your phone in a waterproof pouch or leave it with a friend on the edge.
• Bring a towel-sized layer for the walk home; March nights get cool.

Getting in

The PCB Club Card includes entry to Hammerhead Fred’s and the major theme nights, which matters most on foam night because the general line is long. Individual tickets are also sold per night. Either way, the event is 21+ unless listed otherwise, and you need a real ID.

Tips from people who’ve done it

1. Go earlier than you think. The foam starts before the room is packed, and you’ll want a spot on the floor before it fills.
2. Stay hydrated. It’s hot in there.
3. Pick a meeting point outside in case you lose your group in the foam — you will.
4. Don’t bring your good sunglasses.
