DoItForBreak.com (“DoItForBreak,” “we,” “us”) is operated by Axiom Design Group, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This policy explains what we collect when you use this site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you sign up for updates we collect your first name, email address, and, if you choose to tell us, your spring break week and school. When you contact us we keep the message and your contact details.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and the site you came from. We use Google Analytics for this, and we may use advertising pixels from Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok to measure our ads and show you relevant ones. These providers may set their own cookies; their use of data is governed by their own policies.
Information from partners. If you buy a party card or ticket, that purchase happens on Eventbrite, not on this site. If you book lodging or an activity through a partner listed here, that booking happens with the partner. In both cases the partner is the merchant and holds your payment and booking details. A partner may tell us that a booking was made through DoItForBreak so we can send you the Spring Break Package discount code and so we can be paid a referral fee; when they do, we receive the booker’s name and email and the booking dates, not payment details.
How we use it
- To send you the updates you asked for: dates, lineups, lodging deals, and discount codes.
- To deliver the Spring Break Package discount code after a partner booking.
- To understand what content is useful and improve the site.
- To measure and run advertising for DoItForBreak and the PCB Club Card, including showing ads to people who have visited this site.
- To respond when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us run the site and send email (our web host, Mailchimp for email, Google for analytics, Meta and TikTok for advertising measurement); lodging and activity partners, only to the extent needed to honor the Spring Break Package; and PCB Club Card, which is produced by an affiliated company and shares our audience for the events promoted here. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site may not work as well. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on and manage ad personalization in your Meta and TikTok account settings. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your signup information through the contact page.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, use the contact page. We will verify the request and respond within the time required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.
Age
This site is for adults planning a trip. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, and we keep signup information for as long as you remain subscribed plus a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Links to other sites
This site links to Eventbrite, lodging and activity partners, venues, and other third parties. Their privacy practices are their own.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do, and material changes will be noted on this page.
